Characteristics
The Costantino mountain frame is made with a new technology and the highest quality carbon fibers. This new technology is applied in mountain frames, where stress and fatigue of the materials are extreme.
The frame is Full Carbon and is composed of 3 carbon fiber fittings that are:
- The knot of the seat tube.
- The bottom bracket shell.
- And the head tube.
These 3 fittings are joined with the horizontal, vertical and oblique tubes that have a constant thickness thanks to a method where the carbon fibers are prestressed.
After gluing the tubes to the fittings, the areas where the joints have been made are bandaged with carbon fiber and a resin, to give more resistance and perfectly join both parts. On top of all this, the last carbon fiber skin is placed and an autoclave treatment is carried out, which gives it its Monocoque appearance.
After this operation, the resulting triangle is glued to the rear triangle, which has been designed to better absorb ground vibrations. The seatstays and chainstays of the rear triangle are manufactured Monocoque , while the dropouts are made of a very light alloy, prepared for disc brakes.
All this technology has been applied to create a so-called rigid frame, without articulated damping, but absorbing ground vibrations very efficiently, without compromising lateral stiffness.
The complete bike comes equipped with a Carbon lined Magnesium suspension fork and remote control.
