Costantino’s MTB frames are made with a new technology and carbon fibers of the highest quality. This new technology is applied to mtb frames where the stress and fatigue of the materials are extreme.
The frame is Full Carbon and consists of 3 carbon fiber bicycle lugs that are:
- The seat tube junction.
- The bottom bracket.
- The head tube.
These 3 bicycles lugs are joined by three special prestressed carbon fibers constant thickness tubes which are the horizontal, the vertical and the oblique.
After bonding the tubes to the lugs is necessary to wrap the unions with carbon fiber fabrics and resins to give them more strength. Following this manufacturing step, it is added up the last carbon fiber skin and proceed to the autoclave treatment which gives it a Monocoque appearance.
The next operation is the procedure of bonding the rear triangle which has been designed to better absorb the ground vibrations to the front triangle. The seat stays with a “wishbone shape” and the reinforcement for the brake pivots and the chain stays are Monocoque produced, while the dropouts made out of a very light alloy are prepared for disc brakes
All this technology has been applied to create a frame called rigid, without articulate suspension, which absorbs the vibrations of the terrain with a very efficient way, without compromising the lateral stiffness.
The complete bicycle is equipped with a magnesium carbon wrap suspension fork with remote control.
